Yes, it was back at the F8 developer conference that Facebook announced the redesign of their Messenger app, and now finally the update has reached users across the globe. The new Messenger update is available on App Stores and Google Play store as well. The update is available for both Android and iOS platforms. But still, some users might have to wait for the update to be available for them.
Facebook Messenger head of product Stan Chudnovsky affirms the app is not simple like it used to be and looks like Facebook wants to give simplicity back to its users.
The update is soon going to reach out to all users and Facebook affirms that soon all Messenger users will receive the new simplified version update. The chat features like bots, reminders and games are still in place, but now they are nicely tucked away in a new four-dot icon. The change may not sound much, but it sure is handy when you actually use it.
Yes, the new predominant white screen is going to bother some as it will drain your battery down, which could be a cause of worry for some. Rest, the icons are bigger giving a better view and quick access.
